Daily Journal Continued March 31,1998 William Thomas Thompson I now consider my series complete in the layout of the Holocaust. Now many hours I must paint the details that make it say what the message is and tell the story of the suffering and death of the people,75 million killed according to Time-Life CBS report in the 12 years of Hitler's rule. I never knew such awful things had so high numbers. I was raised in a cotton patch and on a dairy farm. From plowing the fields to around the world,I finally found my way or it found me. I am finished with the financial world. I am not a painter or a preacher,I am just a servant willing to obey. I have no hands or feet that really work but I will crawl proudly and without complaining if I am permitted to do the will of God. (A review of the Holocaust paintings) I have found some pieces of old bobwire 9 feet long with long spikes like maybe German made in wartime. I will put this between the 9 paintings and maybe spike up some more realistic memory of wartime pictures. I start in the center with a 48 inch wide by 24 inch display of the 3 crosses and all the people with fist shak- ing saying, give us Barabbas and crucify Jesus, let His blood be on our hands and our children. Matthew 27,22-25. Read it yourself. I understand these things but believe these people did not under- stand what they were saying but it fulfilled prophecy. The center picture the same size is of Hitler seizing power with all of the arms raised to heil him. These people did not understand whatever they were doing and what awful penalty they would pay for this. The bottom picture is the awful slaughter at Auschwitz 24x48inch. On each side there are 3 24x24 inch that describe the event from the left top story of creation and the fall of man to Hitler's war and WWII. On the right from bottom up shows the condemned being hung and shot by the Nazis, the escape of the German offic- ers as the American flag arrived. The right top shows the Saints going up to Heaven, those innocent people who were killed by the war. I have painted it like I see it and it seems very much like the Holocaust Museum presents it. I am the Judge of no man. While the Jews are not without blood on their hands even in forming the state of Israel,we all share blame for shed blood in our history. The large mass of red blood at the bottom of the painting repre- sents that of the Holocaust and reminds us of this awful evil. We come into the world and we go out. God breathed into man a living soul that will never die. Jesus Christ has risen and made things right. The blood on the ground is not the soul of man. Man is not killed by the sword. Man was made in the image of God. It is time to stop the killing here in America,in North Ireland,in Israel,in the Arab world and in all nations on earth. Let us confront the killers in China,in Russia past present and future with the crime they have committed in time. Let us paint to high Heaven the evil of man. May we live in peace with our neighbor with love for all. Matthew 7-24 Therefore whosoever heareth these saying of mine, and doeth them,I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25-And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house;and it fell not:for it was founded upon a rock.26-And everyone that heareth these saying of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man,
